Martha Hill Jamison was elected to the 14th Court of Appeals in November 2010. Judge Jamison served for nine years as judge of the 164th Civil District Court, where she served as Civil Administrative Judge and Chair of the Legislative Committee. While on the bench, Judge Jamison was highly rated in the Houston Bar Association's judicial evaluation poll.

Judge Jamison also has served as General Counsel to the Harris County Tax Office and as a prominent mediator. She is Board Certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in Civil Trial Law. Judge Jamison graduated from the University of Texas, where she was named the Outstanding Woman Student, and the University of Texas School of Law.

Judge Jamison, a native Houstonian, serves as Vice President of the American Judicature Society and a member of the Greater Houston Steering Committee of Young Life, a high school ministry.
