Sharon McCally was elected to the 14th Court of Appeals in November 2010. Judge McCally served for six years as judge of the 334th Civil District Court. Sharon earned her B.A. in English from Southern Methodist University. She remained in Dallas and worked in mechanical contracting prior to law school. Sharon obtained a J.D. from South Texas College of Law in Houston, where she served on Law Review and was elected to the Order of the Barristers. Following law school, Sharon served as a law clerk to The Honorable David Hittner, United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas.
After serving as a clerk to The Honorable David Hittner, Sharon spent the next eight years as a trial lawyer with Fisher, Gallagher & Lewis and then Gallagher, Lewis & Downey.
Sharon then joined Daryl Moore and formed Moore & McCally, specializing in trial and appellate practice. Shortly thereafter, JoAnne Storey joined Sharon and Daryl to form Storey, Moore, and McCally.
Prior to her election to the Harris County Civil District Court in 2004, Sharon's practice focus was trial consulting and appeals, primarily in the context of mass tort litigation.
